FAA Physicals (1st, 2nd & 3rd Class, No Basic Med)

The FAA designates physicians known as Aviation Medical Examiners (AME) who complete specialized FAA training to perform these medical certification exams. While the priority is aviation safety, my goal as an AME is to help pilots attain and maintain certification to fly. In addition, we can assist when medical conditions occur that require additional information for certification. At ProMed Exams, we offer prompt services to help get you in the air again as soon as possible, and we understand the importance of accuracy to avoid processing delays.

The exam assesses your overall physical and mental fitness for duty to ensure you can safely operate an aircraft. Expect a review of your medical history, mental health, and physical exam. Evaluation of blood pressure, heart rate, height/weight, vision, hearing, and urinalysis are required for the exam.

Please come prepared to provide a urine sample. You can eat/drink before the exam. Upon completion of the exam, in most cases (unless concerns arise requiring deferment), you will leave your appointment with your medical certification.

Cost of exam is $200 for all classes. Extra charges may apply for SODA, CACI, Special Issuance based on case complexity.
